Day three had us doing another hike, but the weather was much cooler and very windy. We found that there was alot of ice on the upper portion of the Matterhorn and the Zermatt guides had come down because they were not guiding on the mountain that day. It was up in the air as to whether they would go up the next day, which is when we were slated to head up. Luckily, when we visited the guiding center later in the day, all was cleared to make the hike up to the hut the next day.
